About this site
xaudaily.com · Last updated 2026-09-20 · Operated by an automated data pipeline
What this is
A purely static gold and macro data dashboard. It updates automatically twice a day, at 06:30 and 22:40
Tokyo time, bringing gold prices, inflation, employment, monetary policy, central bank gold buying and
US Treasury yields together into readable readings on a single page, together with ranked driver factors
and key event expectations.
This site does not offer the kind of real-time quotes a market terminal provides — its purpose is a
daily report, not a trading terminal.
Who runs it
This site is run by an automated data pipeline: there is no editorial team and no
investment adviser. The data is fetched, validated and injected into the pages by programs. The AI
commentary cards are generated by a language model, but every number in them must pass programmatic
validation and match that day's data snapshot item by item — otherwise they are not published.
This site does not provide investment advice: it does not recommend
buying or selling, does not manage money on anyone's behalf, and there is no stock recommendation of any
kind, no paid stock recommendation and no commission. All content is a structured account of data facts
and model inference.
Where the data comes from
- Market prices: COMEX gold continuous contract (Sina overseas futures / Yahoo Finance);
Shanghai gold Au99.99 continuous (SGE Shanghai Gold Exchange spot, via Sina)
- Official statistics: US CPI (Eastmoney aggregate); core PCE and real GDP
(BEA NIPA, official revised values via DBnomics); nonfarm payrolls (BLS); PPI (BLS WPUFD4 index,
year-over-year calculated in-house); federal debt and net interest (FRED)
- Central banks and structure: global central bank gold reserves, top 12
(Wikipedia, citing the World Gold Council / IMF); monthly central bank net gold purchases
(IMF IRFCL official SDMX API); SPDR Gold ETF holdings
- Market pricing: federal funds rate path and next FOMC date (TradingEconomics);
decision probabilities (Polymarket); dollar index / VIX / US Treasury yields / crude oil (Yahoo Finance)
Every data point is labelled item by item with its source and data cut-off date in the dashboard footer.
Sources that have stopped updating are labelled as such and switched — for example, the
former Jin10 data aggregate has been frozen since 2025; this pipeline has switched to other sources and
says so on the page.
Why it can be checked
- Definitions are public: the definition and calculation of every key indicator are
written in the page notes (for example, quasi real rate = 10Y yield − CPI year-over-year)
- The rule model is not a black box: driver factor scores are computed by fixed rules
from that day's data — colour shows direction, length shows current impact strength
- Probabilities are labelled by what they are: scenario probabilities are model
estimates while Polymarket probabilities are live market pricing; the two are labelled separately on
the page and never conflated
- Reproducible: the daily plain-text brief
(brief.en.md) and one entry per day in the
RSS feed preserve each day's readings, so they can be compared against
later revised values
Limitations (please read alongside)
- Data lags: official statistics are themselves published weeks to months late
(core PCE is quarterly; central bank gold buying is monthly and reported with a lag)
- Expectations are inference: event estimates and scenario probabilities are model
output — not a promise, and not a statement of what must happen
- Not real-time quotes: an update cadence of twice a day means it cannot be used for
intraday decisions
- Risk is yours: any decision taken on the basis of this site's content is at the
user's own risk
